Margaret Couture passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 in Clinton.

She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Oct. 16, 1913 and immigrated to Seattle with her parents and two younger brothers in the early 1920s.

Margaret met and married her husband, Raymond E. Couture, in Seattle in 1938. They were married until his death in 1978.

In 1980, Margaret moved to Whidbey Island, and resided there for 29 years. She is survived by her daughter Margaret, her two sons Raymond and John, John’s wife Ventree, and her grandson, Shaun.

The family would like to thank Roger and Sally Jo Scott for their kind care of Margaret in her last three years. The family would also like to thank Kathy Varney for her kindness and friendship toward Margaret for the past 10 years.

Services were held in St. Hubert Catholic Church in Langley on Friday, Oct. 2.
