Carroll H. “Hank” Ellis, 86, Everett, passed away Nov. 20, 2002.
He was born in Colfax, Wash., on March 12, 1916, to Henry A. Ellis and Jessie Renfro Ellis. He attended Colfax High School and Whitman College in Walla Walla. After serving as a chief pharmacist’s mate in the Navy during World War II, he started work at Seattle First National Bank, where he worked for 39 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia; two children, Gary and Connie; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Megan.
When they lived on Whidbey Island, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis were avid bridge players. Lately he was active in the Couple’s Club and other activities at the Madeleine Villa nursing home in Marysville, where his wife lives.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 30 at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett.
