Stuart Dennis Smith
The angels sang and Heaven rejoiced as Stuart Dennis Smith entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Aug. 23, 2007, following a courageous seven-month battle with brain cancer.
Stuart had a beautiful, peaceful journey, surrounded by family and friends at his father’s home in Lake Stevens.
Stuart was born on June 12, 1971, in Coupeville. He attended schools in Kirkland and East Wenatchee, graduating from Eastmont High School in 1990.
Stuart touched so many lives, including numerous foster children and was named Foster Parent of the Year for 2006.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Amy Smith; foster sons, Nick and Nate; his father, Dennis Smith (Kim Manus); his mother, Barbara Milam; grandmother, Verda Milam; his brother, Cato Smith; sisters, Kimberlee Schooley and Susan Barrett; nieces, Mallory Smith and Kelsey Walker; Amy’s parents, Gary and Linda Kell; special friends, Vernon and Andrea Klingman; childhood friend, Tim Dobner; and numerous friends and extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Northshore Christian Church and Academy, located at 5700 23rd Ave. West, Everett.
