Robert E. Beatteay Jr. passed away on Nov. 10, 1991.
Bob was born in Seattle on Sept. 9, 1932. Bob was only 59 when he died on a hunting trip on Sun Mountain and was pronounced dead at the Greenwater Fire Department at 14 minutes after 4 p.m. With him were his hunting partners, Mike and Marcie Bruskevith of Shelton, Wash.
Bob was a Navy Veteran of 34 years and a Renton fireman for 18 years.
Bob never met a person who did not like him.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother, June Carmen Davis of California; father, Robert Beatteay Sr.; grandmother Ellen Morse (d1915); and grandfather Oliver Cogeon (d1937) of Langley.
Bob leaves behind a widow, Karlen Beatteay of Freeland, three daughters and one son – Barbara Beatteay of Florida, Ronald Beatteay of Renton, Wash., Christine Cottom of Renton, and Cheryl Sullivan of Texas — and four adopted children of Karlen; Teresa Day of Idaho, Michael Lee Johnson of Renton, Vicky Veach of Ellensburg, Wash., and LaDonna Kiser of Renton.
Services will be held Saturday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at Woodsman Cemetery on Anderson Road in Langley. There will be a private reception after for family and special guests.
