Maria Conchita Jackson, 85, died Oct. 31, 2003, in Coupeville.

She was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Mexico to Martineano and Francisea Hidalgo. She married Warren Jackson.

She moved from California to Whidbey Island 56 years ago. She was a great cook and gardener and was a member of the Catholic Church.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1989.

She is survived by three sons, Mel Jackson of Clinton, Lloyd Jackson of Freeland, and Steve and Patricia Jackson of Lynnwood; three grandchildren, Brad Jackson, Mike Jackson and Mario Baxter; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Jackson and Darrin Jackson; and a sister, Esperanza Hidalgo.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
