Thomas Edward Baker was born on Sept. 28, 1967 to Philip and Judith Baker in Seattle, Wash. He died peacefully in his home in Texas on Dec. 31, 2013. Tom was a fishing boat engineer. He enjoyed watching movies, learning about science, fishing and carpentry.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother Judith Nielson. Tom is survived by parents Philip (Tip) and Jan Baker; daughter, Thea and son-in-law Jesse Gonzales; son Nicholas Baker; sister Laurie Richardson; two brothers, Mark Nielson and Phil (Lynna) Baker; nephews Tyler Richardson, Jesse Baker and Dylan Barnett; and nieces Teagan, Shaina, Hanna Nielson and Dusti Baker.

A memorial will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Island church (CMA) 503 Cascade Ave., Langley with a reception to follow at Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club.
