Faith Arvona Magby, longtime partner and companion of Norm Thompson; beloved mother of Arvona Elizabeth Hermans and Dawn Alyce Shim; grandma to four, great-grandma to eight and great-great-grandma to three, went home to be with our Lord and Savior in the morning hours of June 15, 2011.

Arvona, her preferred name, was born on April 15, 1923 in Seattle to Herbert Lewis Baker and Dorothy Alice (Mansell) Baker.

She attended Franklin High School and served in the Coast Guard during World War II. She worked at the University of Washington Hospital as telephone operator for over 26 years.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Visser Funeral Home. Viewing will be from noon to 2 p.m.

Burial will follow at the Clinton Cemetery.
