Arthur Russell Trimble died at Careage of Whidbey at Coupeville on Nov. 13, 2010 at the age of 95.
He was born Feb. 1, 1915 in Seattle, the son of Earl Trimble and Ruth Everitt Trimble.
He was preceded in death by his former wife Lola Trimble, son Dennis, and daughters Cheryl and Susan.
Art worked in the trucking and freight industry for many years. He also worked at Teamster Local 741 as a business agent and secretary treasurer. He retired in 1976 and moved to Whidbey Island.
After his retirement Art and his wife, Eloda, purchased a fifth wheel and traveled all over the U.S. They attended many auto races which he really enjoyed.
Art joined the Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club and served on the board of directors, volunteering his services to the club for several years.
Art is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eloda Trimble; son Steve Trimble (Carolyn) and daughter Geri Cooper; grandsons Dennis and Sean Trimble (Jen); and sister Bonnie Larson (Oscar).
There will be a private celebration of Art’s life for his family at a later date. Remembrances may be sent to an association of choice.
