Eva J. Sievers Grisham

Eva J. Sievers Grisham, 75, died Jan. 27, 2003, at Whidbey General Hospital.

She was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Raymond and Hazel Dell Sievers. She was the oldest of five children.

She married Dean Grisham in 1952 at Hood River, Ore.

She enjoyed bowling and won many trophies and prizes. She also enjoyed dancing, and vacationing in Hawaii, Alaska and Reno, Nev.

She moved to Langley in the late 1950s, where she and her husband owned and operated the Langley Snack Shack, across from Langley High School, now Langley Middle School. She enjoyed her friendships with the students.

She volunteered at the Island County Fair and Good Cheer. She was an Avon representative for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Don Sievers; and a sister, Joyce Huff.

She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Dean Grisham; a sister, Billie Bigley of Baker City, Ore.; a brother, Ken Sievers and his wife, Rachel, of Fullerton, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Langley Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.
