Beverly J. Anderson

Beverly Anderson, 77 passed away Dec. 6, 2007.

She was born April 18, 1930 in Sacramento, Calif.

Beverly grew up in Sacramento with her sister Joanne Birch and her parents Harold and Beatrice Birch.

She married Mason Anderson and they had two children, Timothy Anderson and Terri Anderson of Seattle. Mason and Beverly divorced after 14 years of marriage and she never remarried.

She became a nurse in the 1970s and worked in the field for more than 30 years until she was diagnosed with cancer.

Beverly lived in Sacramento and Bandon, Ore. then made her home in Freeland.

Beverly was well-known for her involvement with Parent’s and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) beginning with one of the nations original chapters in Sacramento. She continued to be active with PFLAG in Bandon and moved on to found the South Whidbey PFLAG. Beverly was an avid water color painter and loved her animals.

Beverly’s beautiful soul will be missed by the many who love her.
