Marguerite Theresa Flynn Mulcahy, 88, died May 1, 2003, at her residence after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 1, 1914, in Massachusetts to Daniel and Ellen Flynn.
She was raised in Massachusetts, where she owned and ran a cafe restaurant before becoming a homemaker and mother. She moved to Whidbey Island 25 years ago and lived on the island for 10 years. She lived 15 years on Camano Island, then moved back to Whidbey Island to live with her son’s family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and a son, Edward Paul Jr.
She is survived by a son, Francis, and his wife, Maureen, and their six children, Edward, Sean, Colleen, Kerry, Breanne and Kayley, who live in Clinton; and a daughter, Mary Ellen Branan, and her husband, Bill, and their daughter, Sarah, in Oak Harbor.
A mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Langley.
