Robert “Bob” Elf, 73, formerly of Whidbey Island, died March 13, 2003.

He was born April 11, 1929, in Clinton, to Oscar and Severina Elf. He was the youngest of seven children, and graduated from Langley High School in 1947.

He had been a plant foreman for Washington Asphalt and Associated Sand and Gravel.

He is survived by a brother, Oscar Elf; a sister, June Sargent; children Andrew Elf and his wife, Janine, of Freeland, Leslie Matthews and her husband, Tom, Susan Aumell and her husband, John, John Elf and his wife, Jan, Steve Elf and his wife, Lorie, and Kristy Palmer and her husband, Dale; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville.
