Gertrude Katherine “Kay” Conklin Kramer, 83, of Langley, died Jan. 7, 2003.
Mrs. Kramer was born Oct. 26, 1919, in Bayview. She graduated from Langley High School in 1937. She worked in Seattle until joining the Marine Corps during World War II, serving from 1943 to 1945. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Langley for 23 years, retiring in 1983. She was a life member of American Legion Post 141.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Emmett Kramer; a daughter, Susan Costello, and her husband, Joe; a sister, Eileen Barlow, and her husband, Bob; and several nieces and nephews.
An open house for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club.
