Dragging my 173-year-old body down my gravel driveway to the only source of news I need or can depend on for planet earth (the print version of The Record, natch), I admired the perspicacious wisdom of the letters column.

On a world underpopulated with 7.5 billion Homo sapiens, not to mention too few bunnies and deer, and, of course, laden with religious believers fighting wars to provide hope and inspiration, let’s invite the rest of the world to visit our best of all worlds island as tourists and refugees and stand shoulder to shoulder facing the allegedly rising seas, covering our ears against Navy jets, and cheering extinction of the most pernicious species on planet earth.
