Lorraine Frances Hougham passed away peacefully in Rancho Mirage, Calif., on March 21. She was born in Centralia, Wash., on Sept. 7, 1922 to Ralph and Frances J. Cobb.
Lorraine grew up in Washington, where she graduated cum laude from Seattle University in 1944. While working as a chemist during WWII, she met her husband, Charles Stanley Hougham, who was serving in the Navy.

Lorraine was a devout follower of the Catholic Church her whole life and demonstrated her faith in supporting many charities. She also loved spending time with family, friends and cherished pets.
Lorraine especially enjoyed traveling the world, following several sports, garage sailing and playing the stock market. Her favorite place was her home on Whidbey Island, where she spent most summers surrounded by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by Charles S. Hougham, second husband Frank Green and son John C. Hougham.
She is survived by five daughters Mary Winters, Anne Johnson, Allison Davis, Pamela Olaveson and Karen Hougham; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial will be planned this summer.
