Mary Ann Jakobsen went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27. She was born July 9, 1939, in Seattle.

She graduated with honors from Langley High School in 1957. She worked at her folk’s (Howard &Millie Egerton) Mutiny Bay Resort to help pay for her college, where she graduated from the UW, majoring in education.

She taught kindergarten on South Whidbey for 27 years. After retiring she and her husband Jake moved to Mesa, Ariz., where they have lived for 17 years.
