The South Whidbey boys golf team finished first in a four-team match at Useless Bay Golf and Country Club Wednesday, April 18.
The Falcons totaled 253 strokes, nine better than Snohomish “B” in the nine-hole match. Cedar Park Christian-Bothell shot a 294, and Marysville-Pilchuck did not qualify for a team score.
M-P’s Conner Peterson took medalist honors with a six over 41, one shot ahead of South Whidbey’s Ryan Wenzek.
Gabe Jacobson-Ross followed Wenzek on the Falcon leader board with a 46. Brent DeWolf shot 52, Soren Bratrude 53, Dane Saxton 60, Kellen Eager 73 and Blake Chinnery 78.
South Whidbey plays King’s at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Jackson Park Golf Course.
