The Washington State Soccer Coaches Association named South Whidbey senior Lake Smith to the all-state first team recently.
The honor came on the heels of Smith being named the Cascade Conference’s Defender of the Year and all-area by the Everett Herald.
Smith was also a first-team, all-league choice as a junior.
Royal’s Michael Rojas was the 2018 1A state Most Valuable Player.
The only other Cascade Conference 1A player to be honored by the WSSCA this year was King’s Atley Shapiro, a second-team forward selection.
