After cruising to an easy win in its season opener, the South Whidbey High School volleyball team proved it could also handle the tough matches, winning 3-2 over visiting Bellevue Christian Thursday, Sept. 6.
Emma Leggett registered 26 kills with the help of setter Chloe Johnson, who finished with 40 assists.
Johnson added three kills of her own, and Emma Hodson collected eight kills.
On defense, Angelina Wilson recorded 17 digs and Leggett 7, while Hodson added three blocks.
The Falcons (2-0) will host their annual invitational Saturday, Sept. 8, and then travel to Chimacum (0-1) for a 5:30 p.m. match Tuesday, Sept. 11.
