FEBRUARY BRINGS MUSIC to MUSEO as it celebrates artists and the music that inspires them. More than two dozen artists in several different mediums will be presenting work created in response to their favorite song, band or type of music. Come see and hear at the reception 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at 215 First Street, Langley.
ROB SCHOUTEN GALLERY presents a group show to help drive away mid-winter blues. The gallery’s most talented artists bring in some of their most exquisite original pieces with fresh color and light. Included are handmade jewelry, fine sculptures in bronze, stone, wood and steel, original paintings in a variety of styles and mediums, and some extraordinary fine art glass including handblown, sculpted and fused glass. WHIDBEY ART GALLERY presents a poem by DALLAS HUTH, “What the Island teaches me,” to inspire this month’s work by member artists. Guest artist Sydnee Elliot gives new life to the old with abstract art created from found pieces of bookbindings, discolored pages, and often includes a few lost words.
