Two families from Seattle were among hundreds who came out to take photos under the golden lace laburnum trees at Bayview Farm & Garden this past weekend. Above, Truyen Nguyen, right, checks his camera after snapping a few pictures of Annie Phan, center, and other friends. The peak of the blooming laburnum trees, sometimes called golden chain, is expected to last awhile longer.

On Sunday, the nursery had professional wedding and event photographer, Jamie Farage, on hand to offer customers shots framed by the golden tresses. The family of Bayview Farm & Garden owner Maureen Murphy lined up for several shots at the end of the day. Below, Sam Rowley, his wife Ashley, and dog, Cinder posed for a pre-baby portrait. Rowley is Murphy’s son and store manager.

“The arbor will be at peak bloom for another week or more, so there is still time for people everyone to come see it and take their own photos under the arbor,” said Emily Wandres with the nursery that celebrated its silver anniversary last year.

“It also is just as beautiful as it loses the color and the climbing roses bloom and frame the archway.”
