Playing with a makeshift lineup, the South Whidbey High School tennis team lost 4-1 to Bush Friday, Oct. 11, at the Amy Yee Tennis Center.
With three athletes ill and another attending a family wedding, the Falcons were forced to go with a scrambled lineup and forfeit the second singles match.
Levi and Ranger Buck won in first doubles 6-1, 6-0.
The rest of the Falcons lost in straight sets: Jordan Wu, 6-0, 6-0; Nick Black/Ben Roughsedge 6-3, 6-4; and Waylan Parsell/Kaiden Wilson 7-6, 7-5.
South Whidbey (3-10) closes out the regular season with a home match with University Prep (11-1) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14.
