The South Whidbey High School girls golf season is about to start, and the team is looking for more players.

The season runs March 2 through May, and practices are Monday through Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club.

Players will receive about 60 hours of instruction from varsity coach Paul Schuller, the current club champion, assistant coach Martha Carrier, a three-time champion, and the UBGCC professionals.

If a player needs clubs, the coaches can arrange for a loaner set for the season.

The season also includes an overnight golf trip to Suncadia resort at Snoqualmie Pass.
