Although many public events have been cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, those looking to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day are in luck.

As of Friday, several Whidbey businesses are slated to have specials for the day of imbibing.

Double Bluff Brewing Co. in Langley will be hosting its fifth annual St. Patrick’s Day Fest this Saturday from noon to 8 p.m.

Specially brewed beers like an Irish red ale and an Irish stout made with sweet potatoes will be available, and traditional Irish food will be served.

Saturday’s entertainment is music duo Alex Bonesteel and Russell Clepper. There will be a limerick contest with prizes to win.

The Taproom at Bayview Corner will also have live music that night, with music group Dr. Chef performing at 8 p.m.

The annual parade in Oak Harbor may have been cancelled, but there are plenty of other North End celebrations to attend.

The legendary pub crawl slated for 6-9 p.m. Saturday shows no signs of stopping its momentum.

Those partaking can either travel by foot or hop on the short green bus from Kraken Tours. There will be an opportunity to win a prize donated by one of the pubs.

The American Legion will still serve its corned beef and cabbage dinner, starting at 4 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17.

Plates are $10 each and all proceeds go towards charities. The luckiest will win a raffle prize basket. The event is located at 690 SE Barrington Dr. in Oak Harbor.
