A great big “thank you” to South Whidbey Community businesses for their support and donations for our recent picnic raffle.

On July 24, we celebrated and thanked the many members and volunteers who make our remarkable organization work. South Whidbey at Home had just passed its five-year anniversary.

From an idea about how to address a need, to a group of supporters that became an organization with members and volunteers, much has happened in the first five years.

We learned that when we come together to care for one another, wonderful things happen.

A huge shout out to all the South Whidbey at Home volunteers, members, supporters and friends for stepping up to help during this past year.

Many hands planned the picnic and supported the special celebration of hanging in with us during COVID and coming out of hibernation.

South Whidbey at Home was fortunate throughout, and the resounding picnic turnout just showed what a great “village” the South Whidbey community is.
