Alicia Z. Sinclair, 76, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2021 in her home, from dementia. She was the wife of Leroy W. Sinclair, Jr. They shared 44 years of marriage. She was born on March 7, 1945 in Davao City, Philippines.
She moved to the United States in 1978. She worked at the Washington Bulb in Mt. Vernon along with her two sons. She also worked at the Galley on the Naval base. She became a caregiver where she took care of people until 2004, when she decided to retire.
Her hobbies included: crocheting, gardening, spending time with family and friends, traveling to the Philippines, going to church, and most of all, cooking for her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her son, Edwin Zafra. She is survived by her spouse, Leroy W. Sinclair, Jr; her son, Christopher Zafra, and his wife, Perla Zafra, and their three children: Chris Aeron Zafra, Matthew Zafra, and Justin Zafra; by her daughter, Mary (Sinclair) Howes, and her husband, Johnny Howes, and their daughter, Isabella Howes; by her daughter, Susan (Sinclair) Rabourn, and her two children, Emily Sinclair and Kelly Rabourn.
She will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her, and by those whose hearts she has touched so deeply.
Visitation will take place at Saint Augustine Catholic Church on Wednesday November 24th at 9am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10am.
