James “Jim” Patmore was born April 24, 1953, in Coupeville, Washington to Walter Patmore and Barbara (Morris) Patmore. Jim passed away at his home on September 10, 2022 after a two year battle with cancer.
Jim lived and worked on and off the island for years before coming back to stay in 2007. He and his wife Colleen settled into the Olympic View Mobile Home Park, Coupeville. There he made many friends and was always ready to lend a hand…or ear. In 1973, he received an honorable discharge from the army.
Jim is survived by his son, Tyler Patmore. Even though Jim and Tyler’s mother, Elida, divorced, they remained friends and over the years enjoyed many family gatherings together with their respective spouses. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren Austin and Alexis Patmore, his sister Connie Patmore-Farr (Gary), and his brother Bill Patmore (Diane). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Colleen, and his brothers Don (Steve) and Greg Stevens.
Per his wishes, Jim will be cremated. Arrangements entrusted to Wallin-Stucky Funeral Home in Oak Harbor. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 1-3 pm in the Olympic View Park’s clubhouse, 701 S. Main St, Coupeville.
