Tuesday, Aug. 8
At 7:48 a.m., a caller on Bayshore drive reported a suspicious man sitting between Grocery Outlet and Whidbey Island Bank surrounded by tools.
At 12:55 p.m., a caller on Highway 20 reported taking a video of three kids breaking a box outside of a store and stealing a fire extinguisher.
At 3:57 p.m., a caller on Northwest 6th Avenue reported that their bike was stolen from their driveway during the night.
At 5 p.m., a caller on Northwest 7th Avenue reported that their stepson broke some items in the apartment. No argument had occurred.
Wednesday, Aug. 9
At 9:34 a.m., a caller on Southeast 4th Avenue reported finding a cardboard box on fire while watering their flowers three hours earlier. The caller put the fire out.
At 12:33 p.m., a caller on Regatta Drive reported that a woman experiencing a medical issue got on the bus and screamed that she was going to kill someone.
At 12:38 p.m., a caller on Highway 20 reported that a vehicle was parked in a plot for several days, and the man inside it was refusing to leave.
At 12:58 p.m., a caller reported that a man in a black coat approached the caller’s daughter and asked her, “Do you want to be killed by a rat?”
At 2:31 p.m., a caller on Highway 20 reported a non-injury hit and run that occurred the previous day.
At 4:03 p.m., a caller reported seeing belongings under a hydrangea bush behind a church that suggested a homeless person may have been sleeping there.
At 4:54 p.m., a Northeast 7th Avenue resident reported that her brother stole her debit cards.
At 5:35 p.m., a caller on Cabot Drive reported that a homeless individual was lighting items on fire in a grass field.
At 6 p.m., a caller on Beeksma Drive reported finding a bird with a broken wing.
At 10:15 p.m., a caller on Crosby Avenue reported their son was choked, robbed and thrown into a bush by two kids while on a walk.
Thursday, Aug. 10
At 1:59 a.m., a caller on Southwest 6th Avenue reported that a man who “smells awful” trespassed in the laundry room.
