The Falcons went 7-3 and though they lost three straight to Cedarcrest, Archbishop Murphy and Lynden, it was South Whidbey’s best season since 1992.

Last season, Falcon wrestling coach Jim Thompson was named “Coach of the Year” by the Cascade Conference.
That honor was based on the South Whidbey team coming in second in the league, winning their first tournament, plus taking five grapplers to the Mat Classic state finals at the Tacoma Dome.
After losing their first outing against Cedar Park Christian by a single point, the South Whidbey boys basketball team roared back with a 58-44 win over Washington High School on Wednesday.
