Downtown Oak Harbor will come to life with music, art, antiques and the most eclectic junk — or as Main Street Executive Director Margaret Livermore called it, “junque.”

The fourth annual By The Harbor Market returns from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

According to Livermore, there will be seven antique vendor booths, including Dina’s Great Finds, A Vintage Affair and Signs and Wonders.

The event is an opportunity for families, friends and lone visitors to walk around downtown, enjoy food from the local restuarants and find vintage items, collectibles as well as jewelry and art by local creators, Livermore said.

“It’s a very diverse festival with lots of things to see and buy,” Livermore said.

While browsing, people can enjoy the sound of music coming from the corner of Pioneer Way and Dock Street, with performances by Harbor Lights, the Shifty Sailors, the Erik Christiansen Band and Bobby Silver and the FatDaddys.

Coming from the depths of the Salish Sea, The Magnificent Crab Queens and the Whidbey Island Sirens Pod will also make an appearance and take a look at the booths while skaters from the Whidbey Island Roller Derby will slalom through the crowd.

The market will also feature a display of classic and non-classic cars and trucks from the Whidbey Cruzers Car Club and sports cars from Whidbey-based car club [REDLINE].
