Whatcom County’s smart energy program, the Community Energy Challenge (CEC), is now on Whidbey Island.

The CEC has assessed more than 1,000 homes in northwest Washington. It focuses on only cost-effective energy efficiency improvements. Each participating household is provided with quality information, a full energy assessment, a customized energy action plan detailing cost-effective measures, assistance with utility and tax rebates, reliable local contractors and quality assurance.
