Co-op is grateful for the help| LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

The South Whidbey Co-op Preschool board members, teachers, parents and children would like to thank the community for its support at our first annual benefit fundraiser. The generous donations of community members before, during and after the benefit totaled nearly $4,600!

We would especially like to thank Whidbey Children’s Theater, Patricia Duff, Jenny Zisette, Andy McRea, Rod Stewart, Joe Arnold, Anne Anderson, Diane Fraser, Linda Good, Marion Henny, Louise Prewitt, Gloria Koll, Eric Vanderbilt-Matthews, Susan Milan, Jacob Nelson, Jake Papritz, Gracie Colby, Libby Hawkins, Josh and Mike Turner, Raelani McLean Kesler, Dave Sweetwood, Ken Merrell, Debbie Zick and Elise Kostal. Our benefit was a success, thanks to these performers who generously donated their time, talent and energy. Thank you.

And thank you to all of the businesses and community members who provided silent- auction materials, including Kat Fritz, Jolene Westphal, Bob Routh, Critters and Company Pet Center, Little Miss Clippies, Island Pilates, Nichole’s Kritter Kare, Eric Leiberman, Carol Kerley, Harmonica Pocket, the Paint Escape, Girl Scout Troop No. 369, Hairy Barkers Pet Salon, Jet Java Coffee, Whidbey Coffee and South Whidbey Animal Clinic.

With such wonderful community support we are looking forward to continuing the mission of the co-op to provide a developmentally appropriate program in a nurturing, loving, safe and stimulating environment, in which parental involvement enriches the learning process.

We are enrolling now for the fall, and invite parents and children to visit the school this spring. We will have two open-house weeks: April 26-30 and May 10-14. Join us for a day at school with your child. For more information, call Terri at 579-3045.
