To the editor:

From the outset I want to thank everyone who supported me in my bid for appointment to a seat on the Langley City Council. I intend to work collegially with the other members of the council and with the mayor.

I also want to make it clear that, although

I was voted-in by a small number of Langley’s elected officials, my obligation is to all the people of Langley: residents, property owners, business people, neighbors in the surrounding communities, and visitors from afar. All that I do while in office will be in your best interests.

I intend to listen intently before I formulate opinions and cast votes on your behalf. In the next weeks and months, I will look to you for support and guidance in our efforts to move Langley forward.
