From the inception of Island Shakespeare Festival, the artistic vision of ISF has been nurtured and expanded by our intrepid founder and artistic director, Rose Woods. It is an enormous job to create and sustain a theater company; it takes many talented, dedicated people, but undoubtedly without Rose there would be no ISF. We, the board of directors of ISF, are immensely grateful to Rose Woods for everything she has contributed to the growth and vitality of this very special company and wish to honor her by dedicating the beautiful stage we inaugurated this past season to Rose Woods. We wish her the very best of luck in her future endeavors.

At the recommendation of Rose and with the full confidence of the board of directors, Island Shakespeare Festival is thrilled to have Olena Hodges step up as Interim Artistic Director. ISF looks forward to a sensational 2017 season offering: Hamlet, The Seagull, and Comedy of Errors.
