Letter: Commissioner should listen, not raise voice

Editor,

I don’t usually involve myself with political or nonsense issues, but felt angry about this article and the need to express the matter further.

Regardless of Commissioner Jill Johnson’s attitude and feelings about the fireworks ban, it is her job and responsibility to fulfill her obligation to her constituents. It sounds very immature to yell or raise your voice and say ‘I’m not listening, I’ve listened to this long enough’!

Maybe she has listened, but what has she done to protect those who’ve been injured or property that’s been damaged? Her job is not done and more work needs to be addressed on this issue.

Commissioners work for the public, not the other way around.
