This is in regards to Port of Coupeville Commissioner John Callahan.

Shame on his election opponent for accepting Mr. Callahan’s word that he would cede the race to his opponent.

Mr Callahan publicly announced that he would cede the election to his opponent, Angela Ewert. This lead Ms Ewert to not need to spend time, money and effort to win this election.

Now after the election is over Mr. Callahan has decided to go back on his word and accept the position, this comes across as a sort of “bait-and-switch” situation. I can only assume that Mr. Callanhan’s word is not worth the paper it is written on.
