Editor,
I received an email allegedly from someone I know on the island here. It asked me to help her out with an Amazon purchase. I almost fell for it.
It turned out to be a scam. But, my responding to the email will probably mean they got access to my contact list, like the scammers did hers, and people on my contact list — perhaps you — will get scam emails claiming to be from me. Don’t fall for it.
