Letter: Gratitude for Rite Aid staff

Editor,

Sooo much negative press has been written about Rite Aid.

I have accolades to write about the care I received today.

Here’s my story:

There was an insurance complication. I talked to Jessica, the pharmacist. She was kind and smiled and was so helpful — then she recruited Katie’s help, the manager, and then recruited Brandon’s help, the assistant manager.

They couldn’t have been kinder. They couldn’t have been more tenacious. They couldn’t have been more creative and competent in finding the resolution to my insurance issue.

I occupied a lot of their time — yet one would never have known what a hassle it was given their kind attitude and how well and kind they treated me and kept on smiling and reassuring me, “It’s not a problem, we will fix this!”

It’s not like they had extra time on their hands, yet they plowed through and stayed with me until the issue was resolved.

Thank G-d they are here, thank G-d they care about one customer’s dilemma, which is an example of how they treat our community. I cannot thank them enough.

One more thing, there was a man picking up medication and he was rude and insulting to Erica. The way Erica handled it, she could teach conflict resolution skills. She was terrific.

Let’s remember, Rite Aid is in transition and they have every intention of making their store user-friendly.
