Letter: Levy will help keep pool district afloat

Editor,

Although I do not live or vote in the North Whidbey Pool, Park and Rec District, I strongly recommend that eligible residents vote “yes” for the levy on Nov. 5. The pool, hot tub, sauna and locker rooms are warm, clean and the excellent staff are well-trained and welcoming. The park district provides swim lessons, family recreation, team activities and the nearby dog park.

If the levy fails, the pool and dog park will be forced to close in January. This would be a long-term loss to the community and families of all ages who regularly use the facilities seven days a week for swim lessons, recreation and sports teams. Please vote yes for the park and pool levy.
