Editor,
When I woke up Tuesday, Jan. 21, I knew something was wrong and called 911. Within minutes I had two EMS units here, and I was on a heart monitor. I was transported to WhidbeyHealth, and in the ER my heart rate spiked at 200. I was admitted for tests and now know I have atrial fibrillation, which I will learn to live with.
I want to thank everyone involved and tell everyone how fortunate we are to have such wonderful health services here on our island.
Both my late husband and I have always had excellent care from all services at WhidbeyHealth, and I would not want to go anywhere else. Everyone I came in contact with gave me the best care and concern, and I deeply appreciate them all.
