As president of South Whidbey Hearts and Hammers I would like to thank all those who support this organization.

We recently completed our one-day work day with the help of over 400 volunteers. We helped 30 families with keeping their homes safe and healthy.

I would also like to mention that the board of directors put in many hours evaluating and choosing which homes need our help. Some who apply do not meet our criteria and are not eligible. We are gratefully sorry for those families, however they can reapply next year and we will reassess their needs.

I also want to thank Island County staff for the support they give to us.
