To the editor:

Blue Matter, the high school jazz combo, played marvelously last Saturday night as a fundraiser for the M-Bar-C Ranch. I’ve not been a big jazz fan before.

I went to volunteer for the M-Bar-C Ranch which I am a big fan of. Now that I know what really great jazz is, I’ve also become, in one evening, a Blue Matter groupie!

I came away, blown away! They are individually and collectively, superb musicians: Keegan Harshman, bass; Ian Marsanyi, drums; Landon Moore, sax; and Grant Newbauer, keyboard. When you have another chance, don’t miss them.
