Now is the time to demand an alternate route on and off North Whidbey.

It is not a question of if Deception Pass Bridge will collapse or be declared unsafe but when.

Without an alternate route, North Whidbey will be in a state of emergency.

The time it will take to implement temporary means of getting on and off the north end of Whidbey Island will be significant and extremely limited.

Something must be done immediately.

We will then be in a position to adequately repair and upgrade our current bridge.
