When was the last time you helped a family in your community just by having lunch?

The board and staff of Island County Readiness to Learn would like to invite you to participate in this year’s Box Lunch Fundraiser in order to do just that. Your $10 donation reserves a box lunch filled with a gourmet turkey, roast beef or veggie wrap and all the trimmings — fruit, chips, bottled water, a homemade cookie — and a certificate for one coffee drink of your choice from Whidbey Coffee. And best of all, your lunch will be delivered right to your workplace!

All profits from this fundraiser support the work of the Readiness To Learn Foundation, a nonprofit that provides help to children who are struggling in school due to issues such as homelessness, health problems and other difficult family situations.

Reserve your Box Lunch today by filling in an order form and returning it to the volunteer sales person canvassing your area, with an e-mail to rtlboxlunch09@gmail.com, or a phone call to 221-6808, ext. 4322. You can also mail your order to RTL, PO Box 346, Langley, 98260. Cash, checks and VISA and Mastercard are accepted.

Orders must be received by May 12 for delivery on May 15.
