To the editor:
Regarding proposed gas tax increase:
I live in a rural community. I don’t make a lot of money. I drive more than the folks in town — for work and to live. A 10 cent a gallon tax is a huge hit for people like me.
I hear the loud voices of the highway builders and other folks who stand to benefit. I don’t hear any loud voices from working rural people like me.
So this is as loud as I can talk: If this tax gets passed, I’ll withhold my vote in coming elections from those who let it happen!
Anyone else feel this way? Let your representative know.
