Editor,
I would like to thank Mr. Forrest Hill, who risked his own life to rescue me after my boating accident in Holmes Harbor on Dec. 26.
There are really no words to express how thankful I am, for everything he did that day for me. I would also like to thank the emergency medical technician crew and the ambulance personnel for responding so quickly to render aid to me. And to Whidbey General Hospital emergency room doctors and nurses that did such a great job helping me to recover from hypothermia.
I do not remember much of that day after being taken to the dock, but I would like to thank everyone involved for giving me a second chance.
MATT SHOREY II
