I’m so sorry to read about the problems Island Transit is experiencing. Island Transit provides a wonderful service to our community.

It helped our family out greatly. For over three years my husband required medical treatments in Oak Harbor. Island Transit provided the transportation he needed.

Three times a week, a bus picked him up on our doorstep in Freeland and dropped him off in the afternoon. And, the drivers were always so friendly and helpful. It would have been extremely difficult for him to provide his own transportation or rely on others to transport him.

He no longer needs the treatments, but we will always be grateful for Island’s Transit’s help in a time of need.
