To the editor:

I discovered buried on Page 11 of your Aug. 2 issue your article regarding the damage underwater detonation by our wonderful neighbors to the north (“Navy in hot water over explosives training in Puget Sound”) inflicts upon the Stellar sea lions, Chinook salmon, humpback whales and bull trout who also live in the area.

These marine animals must be confused. What ruptured their eardrums and swim bladders was nothing more than The Sound of Freedom.
