To the editor:

Over the last eight years, George Bush has become well- known for using his gut instincts in making snap decisions, often resulting in grave consequences, like the death of more than 4,000 American men and women.

John McCain, who just turned 72, wrote in his book “Worth Fighting For” that, “I make them (decisions) as quickly as I can, quicker than the other fellow, if I can. Often my haste is a mistake, but I live with the consequences without complaint.”

It appears that the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s running mate was one of these quick decisions based solely on the fact that she’s a woman and a Christian conservative with very little knowledge of and no experience in foreign affairs.

The current life expectancy of an American male is 75 years.
