I use the pay-parking lot next to Clinton ferry terminal for convenience and pay top dollar for the privilege of being close so I do not have to walk up the hill and steps. When I do this, I would expect to be able to get my car to an exit and get home.

Last Sunday I had just gotten in my car when this woman pulled up in front of me and blocked me from exiting the parking lot while she let a number of passengers out to get on the ferry. I honked my horn and she points her finger at me to motion “just a minute.”

I honk my horn again and she finally pulls out of the way after her passengers are walking towards the ferry.

I think it is over, but she followed me all the way home, probably to chew me out for being so rude. I did not want to give her the satisfaction of chewing me out, so I doubled back and lost her so she would not know where I live.

I believe that I had a right to be rude since I obey the signs and have always dropped my passengers off in the designated areas. There is a big sign that states right in front of the street that connects to the parking lot and the waterfront neighborhood that states, “No ferry passenger drop-off beyond this point.”

I would hope that next time the woman will remember how rude I was and not drop off her visitors in the pay-parking lot or anywhere else besides the designated area in the future just like everyone else.
